HBO Max has cast actor Clancy Brown to play mob boss Salvatore Maroni in its upcoming film. Batman The spin-off series Penguin. The limited drama series from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios will continue the Batman story that Matt Reeves began with Warner Bros. Batman The film and centers on the character played by Colin Farrell.
According to the entertainment website Variety, Farrell will reprise his role as Oswald ‘The Penguin’ Cobblepot. The series also stars Christine Milioti, Renzi Fels, Michael Kelly, Shohariya Aghdashlo and Deirdre O’Connell.
Salvatore Maroni appeared in DC Comics as a powerful mob boss in Gotham City and a gangster and nemesis of Batman. He was also the one who corrupted Harvey Dent. The character has previously been portrayed on screen by David Zayas. Gotham In Fox and Eric Roberts Dressed in black.
Penguin The series is executive produced by Reeves, Dylan Clark and Ferrell. The eight-episode show is written by Lauren LeFrank, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Craig Zobel will direct the first three episodes.
The project is backed by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
