Dimension hopping action adventure Everything everywhere at once On Feb. 26, multiple honors will compete at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, a glitzy red-carpet event that signals which actors and films will dominate next month’s Oscars.
The film starring Michelle Yeoh as a desperate laundromat owner trying to do away with her taxes is the favorite to win best ensemble at the SAG Awards, according to experts polled by the Gold Derby website.
If the film wins big, it will give it a boost heading to the Academy Awards on March 12. SAG winners are chosen by members of the SAG-AFTRA acting union, and actors make up the largest group of voters for the Oscars.
Other films vying for the top SAG honor include Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical drama; The Fable Men and dark comedy Banshees of Anshirin. The honors will be broadcast live on Netflix Inc.’s YouTube channel beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
