MAkhilyo, trained as a welder, lives and works in a house whose fence and gate are decorated with fake flowers and vines.
He started the project when a friend brought him broken machine guns. A month later, he exhibited his war art at a museum in Donetsk. Since then, he has been continuously creating what he calls “war flowers”. In addition, he makes a stand for writing pens from grenade launcher and cartridge case parts.

His workshop is littered with half-burnt machine guns and shells from the front line of the war. Friends and acquaintances bring them as raw material for his art.
