Army spokesman Narayan Silwal said that the Nepal Army is moving towards the spot by land and air. A total of 19 passengers, including three Japanese, four Indians, were on board the plane. Chief District Magistrate Netra Prasad Sharma said the plane was last seen in Mustang district. Later it was diverted towards Mount Dhaulagiri, after which it was not seen.

Locals claimed to have heard the loud bang

According to police officials, the plane is suspected to have crashed in the “Titi” area of ​​Leyte in Mustang district. The local people of Titi called us and informed that they heard an unusual sound as if there was an explosion. We are deploying a helicopter in the area for the search operation. Home Ministry spokesperson Fadindra Mani Pokharel told ANI over phone that preparations are being made to deploy a Nepal Army helicopter for search.
