Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ became the all-time number one Hindi film in India.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan It has become the all-time number one Hindi film in India by collecting Rs 1,028 crore worldwide since its release in January, Yash Raj Films (YRF) said.

According to the studio, the Siddharth Anand directorial collected Rs 1.07 crore nett on its sixth Friday in India (Hindi – Rs 1.05 crore, All dubbed versions – Rs 0.02 crore).

“Net collection in India is Rs 529.96 crore (Hindi – Rs 511.70 crore, Dub – Rs 18.26 crore) Worldwide gross is an incredible Rs 1028 crore (India gross: Rs 641.50 crore, Overseas: Rs 386.50 crore) YRF said in a press note.

The film, a mega comeback vehicle for Shah Rukh after over four years of absence from leading roles, released on January 25 to great fanfare and record advance bookings.

In its initial run, or first phase of release, the Aamir Khan starrer grossed over Rs 700 crore. In its second run, when it was released in theaters in China, the film’s box office gross crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark worldwide.

Other Indian films to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark at the global box office include: Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR And KGF: Chapter 2.

Pathan, which also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, is a major step in YRF’s spy franchise where characters from different films will cross paths at some point. The film follows the titular spy (Shah Rukh) who comes out of exile to stop terrorist group Outfit X from launching a debilitating attack on India.
