Avatar Actor Sigourney Weaver has joined the cast of Apple’s upcoming film. The Gorge. Directed by Scott Derrickson, Weaver will star alongside Miles Teller and Anya Taylor Joy.
The Gorge The script is written by Zach Dean (Tomorrow’s War). Plot details are scant, but one report deadline describes the film as “a high-action, genre-bending love story”.
Apart from acting, Taylor also executive produces the film. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Dawn Granger are producing the film alongside Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill, Sheryl Clarke, as well as Dean, Adam Kolbrenner and Greg Goodman.
Weaver was recently spotted. Avatar: The Path of Water In dual roles, Carrie as Sully and Grace Augustin. The 20th century film hit $2.2 billion at the global box office to become the third highest-grossing film of all time.
